This 9th annual gala themed “Masterpieces” showcase fantasy garments created by some of Houston’s fashion and interior designers, all worn by models in an elaborate show that would make Florenz Ziegfeld proud. All designs were auctioned off raising over $1500,000 benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Neiman Marcus’s Dwight Woodbury created a rebirth of Spring in it’s dewy, fresh colorings. A table cloth made of real sheet moss, hand painted feather butterflies, art deco centerpiece vase wrapped in moss and twigs holding an airy, six-foot splash of pink and white.
Dwight Woodbury’s luscious decadent portrayal of John Berendt’s best seller about the naughty side of life in Savannah fairly drips of Bacchanalian delight. Grapes and Spanish moss entwine a ten-foot centerpiece used to suspend four chandeliers and armloads of eucalyptus, purple orchids.
“Fashion Night Out” a special shopping night, cocktail party and fashion show attended by more than 2500 people. Dwight Woodbury took his floral talents and created very fashion forward cocktail hats worn by models.
